Insieme a un gruppo di amici, Ellie decide di passare qualche giorno in campeggio in una località sul litorale vicino casa, chiamata The Hell (l’inferno),posto incantevole su cui aleggia l’ombra di vecchie terribili leggende. Una volta rientrati nelle loro abitazioni, i ragazzi scoprono che i genitori sono scomparsi a causa dell’invasione di un’ostile e ignota forza militare. Per mettersi in salvo e pianificare cosa fare, decideranno di rifugiarsi nell’unico luogo sicuro che conoscono, il campeggio.
